Under the mount Athos is the prison for the Giant Enceladus.

In another version it was goddess "Athena who has crushed Enceladus by throwing the entire island of Sicily (or Mount Athos in local lore) on top of him."
In Northern Greek folklore it places Enceladus trapped under the Athos mountain where the monks keep guard with uninterrupted prayer and burning fire lanterns for over a thousand years. I was watching AI videos on YT about it in Russian, got me thinking what would happen if it ever got out. Well, no one knows since he was there reportedly for over 5,000 years and even the monks do not know how he got there. All they know is how to keep him from coming out.
Come to think, I don't even remember why we were fighting the Titans and later the Giants, albeit I have stayed out of the war with the Giants because I was guarding the gates of Hell since their ultimate goal was to reach Tartarus and free the Titans, Kronos et al.

I had to keep an eye on the back door. Nobles oblige. It is what it is. I didn't mind some of the Giant and the Titans for that matter but my brothers Zeus and Poseidon were absolutely set against them, including our father Kronos with whom we had difficult relations due to his habbit of eating his children. What can I say. The old man has good appetite.

Ay brother Zeus, let's be honest, frank rather, the world under the rule of the Olympians, well, your leadership has turned into Hell so I may as well expand my realm above the ground completely. You have given it a good try and you suck at it, ruling the Cosmos that is, nothing personal but I speak as the judge and I judge by the fruits of the tree. Yours my beloved brother is rotten to the core. The world is now worse than it has ever been under the Titans and Giants. Perhaps we can call it a day and let the adults run the world for a change. Our father's ugly creatures already run most of it anyway so we may as well give the Titans and Giants another go at it. Just sayn. 8/
I really miss the Golden age. I can't bare the parade of mediocrity and incompetence no longer. The life in all kingdoms and realms is suffering from pathetic existence brought forth by the Olympian gods. The parasites became too numerous disturbing the Cosmic balance. Soon enough it would be impossible to distinguish the Cosmos from Chaos. Maybe we, I, could make a deal with our father. I know, it is a farfetched proposition and naive to think that he would honor his word once he is back in power however we could possibly make certain precautions as an insurance of sorts, not sure what or how but at least we could start thinking about it. Basically, it's either we let them out or the world will implode or explode, whichever you prefer. Anyway, love you to death.
